Carol Winter

Carol Howard Winter, age 76, went to be with the Lord August 16, 2021.

She lived in Johnson County most of her life and graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1963.

After several years of college, she graduated from St Luke’s Hospital Radiologic Technology school. She worked at Bethany Medical Center, Shawnee Mission Medical Center, and finished her career at Diagnostic Imaging Centers.

In retirement, she liked to cook, watch mysteries, visit Branson, interact with her children, grandchildren, friends and pets and watch the Chiefs.

Born January 3, 1945, she is preceded in death by her mother Charlotte Erickson Howard and her father Dr John Howard.

She leaves two sons, Jon Ray Winter II, Florida; and Matthew Martin Winter and his wife Cindy, Leawood, Kansas with whom she lived with for the past 16 years.

She also has multiple grandchildren: Christopher, Jennifer, Ryan and Wife Hannah, Mason, Valerie and husband Dereck and Tyler.

Great grandchildren, Addyson and Asher and a granddog, Linc.

She will be cremated. There will be memorial service at the Johnson County Chapel on August 26, 2021 with visitation at 11:00 am and service at 12:00.

In lieu of flowers, friends may want to donate to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or St Jude’s Childrens Hospital .
