Mrs. Carolina Labayen

Carolina Aculina Labayen, 85, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, May 23rd at Manor Care Nursing Home.
Mrs. Labayen was born July 22, 1921 in Cadiz City, Phil. She was a graduate of Phil. Centro Escolar University with a Pharmacy degree. She owned and managed her drug store, Farmacia Lina, for 30 years in the Philippines.
Caroline was a strong support for her family and, successfully, sent her 3 sons to college on her own. She was a member of the Filipino Asso., Senior Council.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Togo Labayen, her parents, Sabas and Candelaria Aculina, and her only sister, Mary Soberano. She is survived by her three sons, Ricardo, Alan, and Eduardo, twelve grandchildren, and daughter-in-laws, Nenita, Imelda, and Aurora.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2nd at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 8311 W. 93rd St. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 ? 8p.m. Friday, June 1st, with a rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice or Filipino Association of KC, Senior Council.
