Mrs Carolyn Kim

Carolyn Jean Kim, 65, of Olathe Kansas, passed away on July 5, 2009 at Olathe Medical Center. A memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 11, 2009 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas. Inurnment will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Courtyard of Memories.
Carolyn, the daughter of Albert E. and Thelma Schesser, was born on September 11, 1943 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was a graduate of Wyandotte High School class of 1961, and attended Bethany Nazarene College for two years.
Carolyn, who retired from the Social Security Administration in 1999, was an avid music lover. Southern Gospel and classical music could often be heard throughout her home, except for the holidays when Christmas music became her passion. Reading was another pastime that Carolyn enjoyed. She never went anywhere without a book to read. She also read numerous magazines that she loved to share with her family and friends.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 42 years, Hee Chun Kim; her two sons Steven and Jeremy Kim; daughter Lenora Currie; granddaughters Simone Kim and Stephanie Currie; grandsons Patrick Matters, Jeremy, Jamie and Jordan Kim; sisters Myra Hess and Nila Kim; brothers Joseph and James Schesser, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom she loved very dearly.
