September 15, 1936 — February 23, 2012

CAROLYN (MOORE) KOCH, 75, Leawood, KS, lost her 6 year battle with cancer Feb. 23, 2012 at K.C. Hospice. Carolyn grew up in Johnson County, Kansas and attended Shawnee Mission North. She graduated from Kansas State University and married Dayton Koch. Carolyn and Dayton lived in northern California 45 years and were married 53 years. Carolyn was a Alpha Delta Phi, active in Sacramento Quilters, Placer County Museums, and the Auburn Assistance League. She is survived by her husband, Dayton; her son, David Koch; her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa & David Metz; three sisters, Marilyn Webber, Jackie Moore Rusinger and Linda Moad; a brother, Craig Moore; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at D.W. Newcomers' Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
