Carolyn Vince

Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Sister, Carolyn Vince passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Monday August 31, 2015 at home.  Carolyn was born on August 18, 1941 in Detroit Michigan to John and Mary (Kovac) Buyer.  Carolyn had worked in the Insurance industry since 1988. She was a celebrated artist and cake decorator in the Kansas City Area since 1975.  Carolyn was an avid reader and could always be found reading a good book.  A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held on Sunday September 6th at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf from 2:00 to 3:30 with family remembrances at 3:00pm.  Since this is not a funeral, the family is requesting that all her friends and family do not wear black and dress in casual attire. Carolyn is survived by three sons: Bradley Vince, Mitchell Vince and Jeffrey Vince; two brothers: Fredrick Buyer and James Buyer; and four grandchildren: Justin Vince, Austin Vince, Stephanie Vince and Skyler Vince.   If desired, memorial contributions in memory of Carolyn may be given to Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, 10600 Quivira Road #110, Overland Park, KS 66215.
