Catherine Ann “Cat” Ludwig
Cat Ludwig, 52, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away April 19, 2010. She was born at St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City, Missouri, on December 1, 1957, to William Stanley Harris and Doris Elaine (Matyas) Harris. Cat graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School, 1976. She was a graduate of Kansas University in 1980 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing. Cat was a Member of Sigma Theta Tau (National Honors Society of Nursing). She worked as an RN in the Fullterm Nursery at Kansas University Medical Center until 1984. Cat was completely devoted to her husband and daughters, and was the foundation of her family. She was a huge KU Fan, and adored being outdoors as often as possible. Over the last few years, Cat returned to her love of photography and took beautiful images of nature and architectural forms. She also enjoyed creating hand-made jewelry. Her gentle spirit and deep Christian Faith, her giving heart and unending kindness to everyone she met will be the legacy that she leaves behind. She will be dearly missed and remembered with great love. Preceded in passing by her father, Stanley, Cat is survived by her husband, Warren Ludwig; her daughters, Jenni and Courtney Ludwig; her mother, Doris Harris; her sisters, Lin Gauchat and Susann Cauthon; and a large extended family. A Visitation Memorial will be held on Friday, April 23, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at D.W.
