Celeste Neibarger

Celeste (Wright) Neibarger, 67, of Prairie Village, KS, passed away on March 29, 2018 at The Healthcare Resort of Shawnee Mission.

Celeste was born on October 24, 1950 in Kansas City, MO. The second of 7 children to Benjamin & Josephine Wright. She attended St. Catherine’s Grade School and Bishop Hogan High School in Kansas City, MO.

Celeste was an intelligent woman who worked in the IT field for 40 years starting in 1968 as a computer programmer. The last 18 years of her career she was employed at Columbian Steel Tank – a part of CST Industries.

She had a keen sense of humor and was quick witted. Even though Celeste never had children of her own, she attended every family function and she enjoyed watching all of her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews grow up. She loved animals, giving several dogs a loving home over the years. She will be missed greatly not only by her family but especially by her constant companion at home, her dog Shorty.

Celeste was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Karl Dane Neibarger in 2002, brothers, Kent Wright in 2011 and Jeff Wright in 2017.

Survivors include her sisters, Christine Huff (Dave) of Raytown, MO, Cheryl Barackman (Brad) of Olathe, KS; brothers, Greg Wright (Hilda) of San Dimas, CA, Scott Wright (Jaimie) of Kansas City, MO, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers are Dave Huff, Brad Barackman, Jon Huff, Rich Huff, Joe Wright, and Kevin Kiekbusch. Honorary pallbearers are Greg Wright and Brian Barackman.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Wayside Waifs or Midwest Animal ResQ.

Celeste all the Wright girls will truly miss you!
