Chandler Jeffery Hutcheson, 22, Leawood, passed away September 16, 2019. An Open House will be held Friday September 27th at Blue Hills Country Club, 777 W Burning Tree Dr, Kansas City, MO 64145 from 6:30 - 9:00 PM. A visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 AM Saturday September 28th in the Sanctuary at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Ave, followed by a service at 11:00 AM to celebrate his life. Chandler's burial service will be immediately following the service, at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave. Memorial Contributions in memory of Chandler may be given to the Chandler Hutcheson Memorial Fund administered by the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, 1055 Broadway Blvd, Suite 130, Kansas City, MO 64105
Chandler was born in Tampa, Florida and at the age of five months his family moved to Leawood. He graduated from Rockhurst High School in 2015 where he participated in football and track and field. He was currently attending K-State and was working toward his degree in Elementary Education. He was dearly loved by the College of Education and will be greatly missed. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection.
Chandler was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Alvin Dewayne Hutcheson.
He is survived by his parents: Jeffery and Tamara Hutcheson; sister, Mackenzie Hutcheson; maternal grandfather Danny Bussanmus(Jean); maternal grandmother, Linda Winters; uncle, Kevin Winters(Mindi) and cousin, Collier Winters(Jenna) and their son, Westbrook, and cousin, Bailey Winters; paternal grandmother, Kathy Kirkland; aunt, Sheila Fitzgerald(Kevin) and cousins: Megan Fitzgerald and Erin Fitzgerald, aunt, Pam Hutcheson and cousins: Alex Hutcheson and Abby Hutcheson.
Chandler was big in stature but was a teddy bear at heart. He loved bigger than himself. He was kind hearted and always put everyone before himself. He is loved and missed deeply by family and friends. He rests in the arms of Our Father, who has certainly healed his soul.
