Charles S. Mansell, age 86, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Brighton Gardens.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 25th at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Avenue. A gathering of family and friends will be held 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at D. W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue. Charles was born January 17, 1923 in Camden, Missouri to James and Alice Mansell. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater. Charles worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad for 38 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and a grandson, his brother, and two sisters. Charles is survived by his wife Helen, they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary January 25, 2009; daughters; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a sister. Arrangements, D. W.
