Charles Moore

Charles L. Moore, 87, Overland Park, Kansas passed away February 27, 2015.  A funeral service will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kansas.  A visitation will begin at 10AM, Tuesday, also at the Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.  Contributions are suggested to Olathe Medical Center Hospice House, 15310 S. Charles was born on June 10, 1927 in Lenexa, Kansas to Brainard and Margaret Moore.  Graduating early, he entered the Army and is a World War II Veteran.  Never missing a day of work, Charles had a great career as a warehouse manager for an upholstery company in the Kansas City area.  His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing and gardening.  More important was the love and passion that he had for his entire family, always putting a smile on their face with his great sense of humor and sarcastic comments.
Charles was preceded in passing by his parents and sister, Mildred L. Moore.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 66 years, Ruth L. Moore; daughters, Connie S. Berg (Dan) of Gardner, Kansas and Linda K. Citron of Wellsville, Kansas; grandchildren, Christopher A. Berg (Teresa) of Joplin, MO; Tina L. Bloom (Greg) of Boonville, MO; Patty A. Fuller (Matt) of Cedar Park, TX; and great grandchildren, Seven D. Bloom of Portland, OR, India R. Bloom of Columbia, MO and Maxwell D. Fuller of Cedar Park, TX.
