Commander Charles W. "Bill" Myer, USN, Retired, age 89, of Overland Park, KS passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012. He was born on September 15, 1923 in Cambridge, OH.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Myer; daughter Sandy Bingham; son, Bob (Laura) Myer; 4 grandchildren, Caressa (Ben) Benone, Cameron Bingham, Zachary Myer and Shea Myer; 1 great grandchild, Isabella Benone. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother and 2 grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 6, 2012 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 4801 Linwood Boulevard, Kansas City, MO, 64128.
