Mrs. Charlotte Pierce

Charlotte M. Pierce, age 78, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013, in Wichita, KS. She was born June 2, 1935, in Russell, KS, to Luther and Nellie Hutchcraft. She was raised primarily in Ellinwood, KS. She graduated from Emporia State University with a degree in Elementary Education and taught school in the Shawnee Mission and Blue Valley School Districts, retiring in 1987. She is survived by her husband, Bill, of the home; daughters, Cindy (Dennis) Arnold, Wichita, Becky (Dennis) Laytham, Overland Park; grandchildren, Grant (Angela), Melissa (Paul), Whitney (James), Amy; great grandchildren, Christian, Brenden, Xander, Sahara, Austin, and Brooklyn. Memorial service 10 am Saturday at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS. A memorial has been established with Good Shepherd Hospice, 439 N. McLean Blvd., Ste. 100, Wichita, KS 67203
