Charlotte Joan (Mason) Ulery, 74, died Friday, September 26, 2008 at her residence in Rotunda West, FL.
She was born and raised in Cherokee, KS, the daughter of the late James C. and Helen I. (Hack) Mason. Charlotte served in the U.S. Navy for three years before moving to Kansas City, where she lived and worked for over 40 years. She worked for Black & Veatch Engineering Consultants for 23 years prior to her retirement.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Cindy Meyer, son-in-law, Ed Meyer, and three grandchildren, Kevin, Gretchen, and Olivia Meyer of Lenexa, KS: two brothers, James C. Mason Jr. of Pittsburg, KS, and Richard Mason, of Wimberly, TX: and two sisters, Louise Beecham of Cherokee, KS and Betty Burton of Colorado Springs, CO. She was predeceased by her sister, Henrietta Ghilino.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm with funeral services directly following at 4:00pm at the D.W. Newcomer's Sons Chapel at 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS, 66210, with internment in the Johnson County Cemetery at the same location.
