Christa Boone

Christa Lynn Boone, 39, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010. Christa was born October 5, 1970 in Kansas City, MO. At the age of 7, she was diagnosed with diabetes and struggled her entire life with complications of the disease. Her greatest accomplishment was the birth of her twin boys, Jacob and Jeremy, in 2000. Christa was a devoted mother and a caring, compassionate, and fun loving friend. Christa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ed and Mildred Hein; Margaret and Robert Whittier; and her Aunt Judy. She is survived by her parents, Carol and Bob Hein; her brother, Rob; her grandparents, Eric and Ella Peterson; Uncle Ed and Aunt Gaila Hein; Aunt Sue Peterson; numerous cousins, and her greatest joys in her life, her twin boys, Jacob and Jeremy. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 7, at 11 a.m., at the Resurrection Cemetery at 83rd & Quivira in Lenexa, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 6, from 6-8 p.m., at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 920 Main, Kansas City, MO 64105.
