Christina Leeper

Christina Pearl Leeper, 91, Stilwell, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at her home.
Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. March 17 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas, with burial in Blythedale, Missouri. Friends may call at 6:00p.m. March 17 immediately preceding the memorial service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Johnson County Library Foundation, PO Box 2933, Shawnee Mission KS 66210 as she enjoyed volunteering at the Blue Valley Library Branch.
Mrs. Leeper was born October 24, 1917 in Clinton, Missouri. She graduated from Clinton High School and Kansas City Business College. She was a member of the Fin and Feather Club, Saddle and Sirloin of Kansas City, and was involved in the American Royal. She also shared her lifelong love of horses in the Arabian Horse Association. Her working career included the early days of TWA, Waddell and Reed, and City National Bank and she had a lifelong love of music and playing the piano.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Leeper. She is survived by her son, Michael E. Leeper and wife, Cindy, Westminster, Colorado; two granddaughters, Stephanie and Carissa and her sister, Genevieve Gallihugh, Chilhowee, Missouri.
