Mrs. Chung-Rong Liu passed away Saturday, October 6, 2006 in Overland Park, Kansas.
She joined her husband Wei-Lu into eternal peace in heaven. She will be missed so much by those who loved and knew her. Chung Rong was born in 1926, in Jiangxi, China. When she was a student in GangZhou Girls high school, wars broke out in China, Japanese invasion followed by the communists? taking over of China. She migrated to Taiwan in 1949 with her family. She graduated from Taichung Teacher?s college and taught in Elementary schools till she retired. Her dedication to teaching and love for her students had won the respect and praise from many students and their parents. Wei-Lu Liu and Chung-Rong Tzou were married on April 4th, 1953 in Taipei, Taiwan. They immigrated to the United States in the early 1990?s, spent many years in Houston, Texas, and eventually came to Overland Park, Kansas.
Chung-Rong leaves three daughters: Jane Kuo and husband Chi-Fei Kuo of Overland Park, Kansas; Yu-Chun Liu and husband Ming-Yong Chu of Taipei, Taiwan; Yu-Hung Liu of Sugar Land, Texas; four grandchildren: Hanluen Kuo and Peiluen Kuo of Overland Park, KS; Hsiu-Ping Chu of Taipei, Taiwan; Prudence Sun of Houston, TX; three brothers in Taiwan, Chung ?Yuong, Chung-Pu, Chung-Che, four sisters: Jane Chang of Bethesda, MD, Rose Ho of Overland Park, KS, Alice Ma of Dalas, TX.
Memorial contributions may be made in Chung-Rong?s name to Emmanuel Chinese Baptist Church. 13800 Santa Fe Trail Drive, Lenexa, KS 66215. Funeral services will be held at 5:00pm, Saturday, October 13, 2007 at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS with a gathering of family and friends during 4:00 ? 5:00 p.m. Saturday at the chapel preceding the service.
