Mr. C.L. Akin
December 15, 1937 — April 24, 2012
C.L. Akin, 74, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 10:30 am followed by the funeral at 11:00 am at Bethany Lutheran Church, 9101 Lamar Ave. Private Burial to follow.
C.L. was born December 15, 1937 in Wichita and raised in Fort Scott. He was an educator for over 50 years, teaching Math at Washington High School, Sumner Academy, KCKCC and JCCC. C.L. was also the owner of Quality Tax Service.
He is survived by his wife Sylvia Akin of Overland Park, daughter Millicent Dohr of Newcastle, AUS and son, Bob Akin of Prairie Village, a sister Rosemary Wakefield and three grandsons, Will, Spencer and Juan.
