Lt. Col. Harold L. Harris, 88, of Olathe, Kansas, died on January 27, 2013, at Hillside Village of Desoto, Kansas, of natural causes. He was born October 1, 1924, in Quenemo, Kansas to Dorous and Lenora Harris. He married Maude Ethel Fellman on August 2, 1947. He received a B.A. degree in Business from Washburn University in Topeka in 1951. He was a career military officer serving in the Navy in the Pacific at the end of WWII and as a pilot in the Air Force from 1951-1970, serving in both Korea and Vietnam. He was an avid lifetime golfer with numerous trophies and holes in one. He is survived by his wife, Maude Harris of Olathe, Kansas; sister; Gladys Hubbard of Desoto, Kansas; children; Beverly Piccirillo, Dana Harris, David Harris, and Marianne Harris; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his
siblings; Maynard Harris, Wilber John Harris, Kenneth Harris, and Thelma Maurine Meeks.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January, 31, at 11:00 AM to 12:00
PM at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel at 11200 Metcalf, Overland
