Connie was born in Independence, MO on November 24, 1952 and graduated from Truman High School in 1971. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Kansas City, MO. She devoted years of compassionate care in the hospital setting, rehabilitation facilities, home healthcare, and clinical studies.
Connie had an eye for beauty. She transformed her living spaces by redecorating and doing much of the work herself. She had a flair for fashion that was very stylish. She liked crafts and sewing and made many of her daughters’ clothes and Halloween costumes in their early childhood years. She cross stitched beautiful family Christmas stockings that will remain precious keepsakes for years to come. She loved to play the piano and read. Connie was an avid walker all through her adult life and even completed a marathon. She made holidays and celebrations very special through her attention to detail, decorating, and very thoughtful gift giving. In their retirement, she and her husband, Rudy, enjoyed traveling together visiting new places and making friends.
These are the treasures that her family will hold on to as they celebrate the life that she lived in an intimate family gathering. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kansas City Hospice.
