Mr. Connie Walsh
July 18, 1925 — June 3, 2015
Connie Cecil Walsh, age 89, of Lenexa, KS passed away on June 3, 2015 from the effects of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He was born on July 18, 1925 in Palco, KS to Donald and Ida Mae Walsh. Prior to moving to Lenexa, he had lived in Sedalia, MO and at the Lake of the Ozarks. He retired from H&R Block Nat'l office in Kansas City.
Connie is survived by his lovely wife, Alta; daughters, Dena Burkett, of Overland Park, KS & Beverly Beggs, of Kansas City, MO; son, Robert Walsh of Henderson, TN; ten grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and many friends. He and his wife adopted ALL of their children, and provided a loving home to several others over the years.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kansas. A visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, also at the chapel. Interment will be at Stover Memorial Cemetery, Stover, MO at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Olathe Hospice House or Spofford Home. Fond memories and condolences for the family may be left at www.JohnsonCountyChapel.com.
