Courtney "CJ" Jay Rardin, 46, of Merriam, KS, died at his home on November 23, 2019, in Olathe, KS.
Courtney was devoted to his family and friends; he would do anything for anyone, and you could always count on him to help. He loved his wife, kids, family, friends, and soccer. He had a smile that lit up a room and a laugh that was contagious.
We ask that you open your heart and offer compassion to those that suffer from an illness rooted in stigma, trauma, or shame. Sadly, he succumbed to severe depression, leaving behind bereaved family and friends.
Courtney is survived by his wife, Danielle Rardin; his two children, Carson and Lindley Rardin; his father and step-mother, Ronald and Nancy Rardin; his brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Jackie Rardin; his sister, Shelly McGowan; his nephew and nieces, Landon McGowan, Bailey Langner (Michael) and Brittany Coale (Kirby); and his in-laws. Courtney was preceded in death by his son, Courtney (Tanner) Rardin; and his mother, Sharon Rardin.
Please join us in celebrating his life on Friday, December 6, 2019, between 5:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m. at Johnson County Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens in Overland Park, KS.
In lieu of flowers, a Go Fund Me page has been set up to help Danie, Lindley & Carson with current and future expenses. https://www.gofundme.com/f/raising-up-the-rardin039s
