Creighton Blackburn Hill, 66, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family and close friends. A visitation to celebrate Creighton's life will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m., funeral service 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas 66210. Burial to follow in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Creighton was born October 23, 1951, in Rigby, Idaho, the son of Kenneth J. and Iola (Blackburn) Hill. On September 21, 1991, he married Tammy (Larson) Hill who survives of the home. He was a member of the New Haven Seventh Day Adventist Church, and a past president of the Rotary Club of Lenexa. He loved architecture and design, building manly things, and playing horseshoes with his family and friends. Most of all he loved the outdoors, especially going back to his beloved cabin he built on the banks of Moose Creek in Island Park, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Valerie Mitchell.
In addition to his wife Tammy, he is survived by sons Cameron Zane Hill, of Richmond, Virginia, Taylor Kenneth Hill, of Blue Springs, Missouri, Brandt Larson Hill, of Lenexa, Kansas, and sisters Karolyn Johnson of Mesa, Arizona, and Shannon Summers, of Rexburg , Idaho.
