Curtis Parmer Richardson, 87, died August 13, 2021 at his home in Prairie Village, KS. Curtis was born May 9, 1934 to Jennie Nichols and Cecil Richardson in Boone County, Missouri. He grew up with six brothers and seven sisters. He married Wanda Darlene Love of Kansas City, MO and settled in Overland Park, KS where they welcomed five children while he owned a masonry construction company. He was a longtime member of the Kansas City Home Builders’ Association and Bricklayers and Masons Local Union. He was grandfather to five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and had numerous nieces and nephews.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Kenneth, Pete, Pat, Laymond, and Raymond; sisters: Alberta, Erma, Mary Lou, JoAnn and Linda Kay: daughter Annette, son Bradley, as well as spouse Wanda Darlene Love Richardson. He is survived by his brother Perry; sisters Rosalie and Dollie; three daughters, Deborah White, Cynthia Snook, and Alesia Harter; grandchildren Justin White, Sierra Hinson, April Atkins, George Snook, and Joy Andrisevic; great-grandchildren Leah and Preston Hinson, Alan and Blaine Atkins, Keaton Sowder, and Henry and Elizabeth Snook.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 24th at 1:30 pm followed by a Service at 2 pm at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf, OPKS 66210. The family will have a reception in the chapel following the Graveside. All friends and family are invited to celebrate Curtis' life, a hard-working father, a caring grandfather, an avid golfer belonging to Saint Andrews Golf Club, a good neighbor and friend to so many
