Cynthia F. Danzig, 71, Lenexa, Kansas, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009 in her home after a long battle with cancer. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 20th, at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Avenue.
Mrs. Danzig was born May 18, 1937 in Little Silver, New Jersey. She graduated from Bucknell University with a BA in Education where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She earned an MA in Education from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, and an Administrative degree from the University of Kansas. She was a Librarian for the Shawnee Mission School District for 30 years and retired in 1998. She had a passion for learning, golf, basketball, and loved her family and friends.
Mrs. Danzig is survived by her children, Linda and Chris Hosler, Leawood, KS; Carl and Lynette Danzig, Scranton, PA; grandchildren, Ross, Ethan, Andrew, and Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Mark.
