Cynthia Jayne Sulley passed away Friday, June 22, 2012, at the hospital surrounded by family and friends. Cynthia experienced complications following surgery for pancreatic cancer that she bravely battled for 6 months, always with a smile. She was born September 1, 1946. She graduated from Center High School in Kansas City, MO. After raising four children and working full-time for AT&T and SWB, she retired and enjoyed philanthropy through several charities in the area and enjoyed her favorite hobby, painting. She has displayed and sold several watercolor pieces through her art club that she enjoyed thoroughly. She also cherished every moment of her granddaughter's first year, providing her daycare. A life lost too soon, but we know she is in a better place with those preceding her. She is preceded in death by husband, John, and mother, Frances Koshko. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Angela Behrend, Cathy Messinger (Lee), John Sulley, Sherry Kile (Jeremy), and granddaughter, Abigail Lynn Messinger. Also her father, Frank Koshko, mother-in-law Gwen Sulley, and sisters, Karen Somers (Wayne), Vicky Reed (Don), sister-in-law Nancy Goode, and brother-in-law Bill Sulley (Kathie), and many nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be at 10 AM, Thursday, June 28th, at Johnson County Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS. A visitation will be held from 5:30pm to 7:30pm Wednesday, June 27th at the same location.
