Duane Hillers, son of Don & Georgenia Hillers was born Feb 17,1939 in Kansas City, KS. He passed away on Feb 3, 2014 at Kansas City Hospice House. Duane attended Graceland College in Lamoni, IA.
Duane married Velmeta Miller on Dec 17, 1960. He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Paarman, Marcy Hillers, Melanie Baker & Husband Brian Baker. Granddaughters Stephanie Kaye, Ashley Carcopa, Cammeo Paarman & Great-Grandchildren Cayden Carcopa & Zoey Kaye, brother Ronald Hillers & Wife Pamela.
Duane last worked at Time Warner Cable. He was a minister for the Community of Christ Bethel Congregation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the ALS Society, Kansas City Hospice House, or Bethel Community of Christ. Cremation followed death and the memorial service will be held at Bethel Congregation, 8510 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kansas, on Sat, Feb 8th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Shawnee Mission Memorial Gardens.
