Dale Carney, 70, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013.
Dale was born October 20, 1942, in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Westport High School and shortly after married his high school sweetheart, Janie Harrison. Dale was a devoted husband and father and spent most of his time coaching little league baseball, football and other activities. He worked for Safeway Grocery and was in the grocery business for most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janie and his parents, Woodrow Carney and Bernice York.
Dale is survived by his two sons, Terry (Becky) Carney and Chris (Robin) Carney; five grandchildren; two brothers, Norman and Jack Carney; and two sisters, Betty DeShon and Linda Babbitt.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Colonial Presbyterian Church, 12501 W 137th Street, Overland Park, KS 66221. A private inurnment will take place at the Johnson County Indoor Courtyard of Memories.
