Darlo Reese

Darlo G. Reese, age 88, passed away peacefully Friday, February 16, 2018. A celebration of her life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5601 W. 62nd Street, Mission, Kansas 66202 on Thursday, February 22. Visitation is at 9:30 AM, service is at 10:30 AM, with a reception following. Born in Norfolk, Nebraska to Frank and Nora Marshall, Darlo married the love of her life, Robert K. Reese in 1950. Darlo was a devoted, loving mother to her four children and cared deeply for her grandchildren. Her faith was an inspiration to her family. Painting, participating in garden club, and volunteering at Children’s Mercy were amongst her favorite interests. Above all, Darlo was devoted to Robert, spending much time golfing, dancing and traveling together. She was an avid golfer at Indian Hills Country Club and Ironwood Country Club in Palm Desert, CA.  Darlo was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Larry Marshall, and granddaughter Nina Christine Joslin. She is survived by her husband, Robert K. Reese, her sister Denyce Towle, her four children, Marsha Reese, Maureen Reese (Jim Hollrah), Robert P. Reese, and Barbara Joslin (Joel), and her grandchildren Brandon Joslin, Laura Joslin, and Walker Hollrah.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or its foundation.
