David A. Beck, 60, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away on Friday, December 5, 2008. Memorial services will be 6:30 P.M. on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas. The family will receive friends at the chapel following the service. Memorial contributions are suggested to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care.
David was born on September 11, 1948 to Charles and Clara (Marquis) Beck in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Emporia State University and served the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. David worked for the majority of his career at the Kansas City Honeywell Plant. A devoted father and avid outdoorsman, he was a lover of reading and history. David is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Clara. Survivors include his sons, Jason Beck, Olathe, KS and Jeremy Beck, Lenexa, KS. His brother, Steve Beck and sister-in-law, Susie, Denver, CO.
