David Laird Keegan passed away Monday, August 9th, 2021. David was a happy prankster, a very fun loving guy, always ready to party, and was a gentle soul. David was born on June 29, 1955, the fourth of ten children of Bob and Jeanne Keegan. As a child he excelled at diving and football. He loved golf, loved to read, play games, watch football and spend time with family and friends. David was an excellent carpenter and he had a mind like no other. He could construct a complicated “round” house in his mind before it ever became a reality. David loved life to the fullest. His love for life took him on many great adventures, including Texas where he worked on oil rigs and where he met his future wife Ann. David also lived and worked in Massachusetts, Florida, and finally Culebra, Puerto Rico where he worked as a carpenter and where he found his paradise.
David is preceded in death by his parents Bob and Jeanne Keegan. David leaves nine siblings, Kathy (Leo) Glynn, Cindi (Dave) Fournier, Michael (Cindi) Keegan, Buck (Becky) Keegan, Lindi Cooney, Larry (Nancy) Keegan, Teri (Chris) Castrop, Jim (Lori) Keegan, Marci (Wendall) Kennedy, 31 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly. Services will be Monday, August 16th at Johnson County Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Ks.
