Dee Ellen Petty

Dee Ellen Petty, 100, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away April 25, 2021.

Dee Ellen Petty, daughter of Dr. Noble and Georgia Naylor, was born in Ottawa, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Dr. Merlin Naylor, sister, Lois Pierce, husband, Charles Petty and son, Douglas Petty.

She is survived by her daughters; Susan Mason (Jerry), Cheryl Evilsizer (Robert) and daughter-in-law, Deana Petty.

Dee Ellen was proud of and loved dearly her 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.  Dee Ellen graduated from the University of Kansas and was an avid Jayhawk fan.  She especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends.  She had a passion for travel and seeing the world.

She was a member of Village Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder.  She was also a member of Chapter CA, P.E.O.

We want to thank the staff at Lakeview Village Centerpointe for the love, support, and compassionate care.  We also thank Kansas City Hospice for their dedication in Dee’s final days.

A private family service and burial will be held at Johnson County Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS.
