Del Braddock, 56, Leawood, KS passed away unexpectedly Dec, 16,2009.
Del was born Oct. 15, 1953 in Mt. Vernon, IL to Lois and Nillson Braddock. He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1971. He attended college at KU graduating in 1975 with a BA and received a MBA in 1977. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
Del was employed by Farmland Industries for more than 20 years. In 2001 he continued his career at Interoceanic Corp.. For the last 2 years he was employed by Yara.
Del married the love of his life, Cappi, Dec. 11, 1982. They celebrated their 27th anniversary this year. Del’s greatest wish came true when their son, Kyle, joined their family in 1993. Del’s favorite joys were his family, his friends, coaching Kyle’s teams, his pets and KU sports.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Cappi ; son, Kyle; his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Larry Grither ; nephew and his wife, Matt and Katie Grither; mother and father-in-law, Betty and Ethan Potter; sister-in-law, Ann Lowman; sister-in-law, Joan McCool and her children, Amily, Lisa, John, and Tim.
Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009 from 3 to 5 PM at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons, Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, OPKS.
A funeral service will be on Mon., Dec. 28, 2009 at 2 PM at Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Rd., Prairie Village, KS.
