Della Mae Crawford, of Overland Park, passed away on November 8th, 2019 at her home.
She was born on March 8th, 1923 to Harry Burton and Anna (Hackerott) Brown in Natoma, KS.
Della worked as a Music Teacher for the Shawnee Mission school district for twenty-five years.
After she retired from teaching public schools she spent the next twenty years teaching private piano lessons.
Della is survived by her sister Anna West, granddaughter Julie Johnson, grandson Christopher Johnson, granddaughter Ariel Lee, as well as great-grandchildren Madeline, Erik, Bailey, Aurora, Benny, Kylee, and Eirikr.
Additionally, she is survived by all the many lives she touched in her lifetime through her work as a teacher, musician, member of the United Methodist Church, and through the kind heartedness she brought wherever she went.
She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin, as well as her daughter Peggy, sister Roberta, and brother Robert.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 11-1 pm at Asbury United Methodist Church in Prairie Village, KS. Services will follow at 1 pm.
