Delma ?Jene? George, age 77, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at her home.
Jene was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Overland Park.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dick Wayne Vanderwerf; 3 grandchildren and a great-grandson. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, O.J. George of the home; 4 children, Jim Vanderwerf of Kansas City, Kansas, Sandy Lowe of Lenexa, Kansas, Sue Loveland of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Rick George of Gardner, Kansas; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 30th at New Life Community Church, 17935 Moonlight Road, Gardner, Kansas. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.
