Deloris Frances Lentz “Dee”, 92, Prairie Village, KS, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at her home of 64 years.
Dee was born September 3, 1924 in Chillicothe, MO to Clara and Virgil Williams. She met her future husband, Lee, while working together at the assembly plant in Fairfax, KS making B-52 Bombers for the WWII effort. After their marriage, her career was their family. She loved to read, sew, reupholster and refinish furniture and playing KENO. She was handy with tools and was the go to person for many repairs. She always made sure she had a tootsie-roll pop for her great-grandchildren.
She, as well as the family, appreciated the assistance of Kansas City Hospice and Comfort Keepers which allowed her to remain in her home.
Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Lee; son, Terry; her parents, Virgil and Clara; brother’s, Leroy and Bob Williams; and her sister’s, Norma Jean Wrigley and Mary Ellen Cockrell.
She is survived by her son, Ron (Sally); grandson’s, Scott (Jennie) and Brett (Jenny); great-grandchildren, Caroline, Amelia, and Eleanor; her sister-in-law Violet Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
