Dennis Edwin King of Olathe, KS passed away on 5th July 2019. He was born on 29th July 1946 in Rockford, IL to Helen E. and Wayne V. King. He was the eldest brother to John and Robert King. He was preceded in death by both parents and brother John. He is survived by his loving girlfriend Mila Hood and his children Katherine Nelsen (Adam) of Omaha, NE and Ryan King of Olathe, KS, as well as his grandchildren Payton, Hadley and Alexander Nelsen and Uncle Robert Anderson of Chana, IL. He was proud to have served his country during Vietnam in the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged after a single tour on the U.S.S. Crockett. He devoted his years after service to sales and distribution of Lubriplate, first with his own company and finally through Fiske Bros. Refining Co. He was a devoted family man, devout Christian, and loved watching football. He never missed rooting for the KC Chiefs or Chicago Bears on Sundays.

Funeral services will be held Johnson County Funeral Chapel on Thursday, July 18th 2019 with visitation beginning at 10:00am, service at 11:00am and procession to Leavenworth National Cemetery for final burial at 1:30pm
