Dennis S. Schwartz, 66, of Lake Quivira, KS died at home February 22, 2009 from Pancreatic Cancer.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 28 from 2-4pm at the Lake Quivira Clubhouse. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a Veteran’s organization of the donor’s choice.
Dennis was born October 23, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended the University of Missouri at Columbia and attended Law School there as well. He served as a Lieutenant of Military Police at the Presidio during the Vietnam War. He then returned to Kansas City to complete his Master’s degree in Tax Law and was in private practice as a tax attorney. Dennis was an avid golfer and a resident and member of Lake Quivira for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by son, Patrick Baxter and his parents, Alvin and Hermine Schwartz. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Baxter; sons, Scott Friedson of Austin, TX, Dan Friedson of Pittsburg, PA and Robert Leishman of Lake Quivira, KS; daughter, Meghan Crumpton of Fort Hood, TX and 6 grandchildren.
