Diana June Ford, 74, Overland Park, Kan., passed away March 10, 2009.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 9101 Lamar, Overland Park, Kan. Interment will be in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2009, at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Lutheran Braille Workers, Inc., PO Box 5000, Yucaipa, CA 92399.
June was born July 2, 1934, in Warrensburg, Mo. She was a volunteer at Shawnee Mission Medical Center and president of Kansas City Herb Society. She was a coordinator of Bethany Braille Bible Center and was also one of the original Stephen's Ministers at Bethany Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Layton Keith and Mary Ellen Burr. Survivors include her husband, Galen Ford; children Mark C. Ford and Melinda G. McCarthy, and five grandchildren.
