Diane L. Westerfield of Olathe, KS died on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at her residence. Diane was born on March 11, 1952 to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Westerfield. Diane was a Registered Nurse and resident of Olathe, Kansas. Diane proudly served our country in the United States Navy and was a Veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Diane received the National Defense Service Medal and the Naval Reserve Meritorious Service Medal. Diane was preceded in death by her daughter Rachael Miller. She is survived by her father Richard L. Westerfield and Mother Nadine F. (Reese) Westerfield. Diane is also survived by her Sister Sharon Last, brother, Richard (Elizabeth) Westerfield, one granddaughter, Hannah Lading and three great-grandchildren, Kyler, Marcie, and Zayden. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 9:30 to 10AM at Johnson County Funeral Chapel 11200 Metcalf Ave. Overland Park, KS 66210 followed by a funeral service at 10AM. Burial & Military Honors will be held at 12:30PM on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 8th St. Leavenworth, KS 66048.
