Dolores Ruth Cocherl 77, of Lee's Summit, MO, passed away peacefully in her home on November 12, 2009. Her devoted husband of 60 years was at her side. A celebration of her life 11:30 a.m., Monday, November 16, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. Friends may call on the family from 10-11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the chapel. Jefferson, Lee's Summit, MO 64081. Dolores was preceded in death by her son Michael, her parents and her brother. Survivors include her loving husband Patrick J. Cocherl Sr., son Patrick J. Cocherl Jr. and his wife Kathy, daughter Deborah Lunn and her husband Jim and daughter Terry Cocherl. Dolores was very proud of her eleven grandchildren: Jennifer Harris and her husband Jim, Shawn Cocherl and his wife Stephanie, Jamie Overton and her husband Jason, Jessica Meade and her husband Justin, Scott Lunn and his wife Lydia, Trisha Rains and her husband Troy, Ryan Cocherl and his wife Audra, Candy Pitman and her husband Alan, Brandy Winters, Kristen Cocherl and Patrick J. Cocherl III. She also leaves behind fifteen precious great grandchildren: Caeden, Chase, Brock, Rider, Kaylee, Hayden, Lane, Rylee, Jack, Jolee, Cutter, Cooper, Jade, Payton and Henry. Dolores loved Christmas, fireworks, the color orange, cheesecake, garage sales, family and her retirement home called 'Shamrock.' Her love of life was often seen and heard in her hearty laugh and smile. Family gatherings were a priority as well as her involvement in her children's, grandchildren's and great grandchildren's individual activities. She will be remembered for her tremendous strength as it was evidenced during sickness and in health throughout her life. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
