Dolores H. Marter, age 73, died April 23, 2008 at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown PA.
Born in Asheboro, NC, she was a resident of Johnson County, KS for many years. She was the loving wife of the late William J. Marter for more than 43 years.
She is survived by her two children Jackie Marter Nowakowski and her husband, Tom, of New Hope, PA and Kevin C. Marter and his wife, Joann, of Belmar, NJ. Dolores had ten grandchildren, Tommy, Jennifer, Kimberly, Joseph and Emily Nowakowski; Anthony and Gregory Marter; and Tom, Patricia, and Cassandra Peters. She is also survived by her brother Bill Henson of Asheboro, NC. Dolores was a top rated tennis player in the Missouri Valley Tennis Association and enjoyed traveling with her husband for Hallmark Cards.
Family and friends are invited to Dolores' Life Celebration on Wednesday from 7-9 PM at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park KS and to attend her Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Nativity, 3800 W. 119th St., Leawood, KS. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa KS.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dolores' memory may be made to the Parkinson Foundation, the Hall Foundation, Catholic Charities or Mass cards.
