Don Wyatt

Don E. Wyatt, 88, passed away on October 24, 2017 from heart failure. He was born on August 26, 1929 to Ewell and Eltha Wyatt. Don was raised in and around Calico Rock, AR. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, he graduated from the University of Arkansas. He married his wife of 62 years, LaRue in 1955. After moving to the Kansas City area, Don began a career in primary education first as a High School Coach. He went on to earn a Master’s in Education and became the principle of the K-12 school in Stanley, KS, then moved on to act for many years as the Principal at Rosehill Elementary and later Nall Hills Elementary, both in Overland Park, KS.
He is survived by his wife LaRue Wyatt, daughter LeAnn Timmons, son Ken Wyatt, grandson Ryan Timmons and brother Keaton Wyatt.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 31 from 10:30-11AM, with service to begin at 11AM, at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210. Burial will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
