Donald Philip Davies, 83, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011. A funeral service will be held at Colonial Presbyterian Church, 9500 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO 64114, Saturday at 2:00 P.M. February 5th. A visitation for friends and family will begin an hour prior, also at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hope Faith Ministries, 1524 Charlotte St. Kansas City, MO 64108.
Don was born August 5, 1927 in Monroe, WI. He enlisted in the Navy and soon after served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Don was an avid pilot and golfer, he moved to Kansas City to work for Russell Stover, and years later worked for Riker/3M in Pharmaceutical sales for 35 years. In his later years he enjoyed volunteering at Colonial Presbyterian Church.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia (Trishy). Survivors include son; Dave (Sharla) and their daughter, Amy (Ben) Davies-Vigil; grandchildren, Maggie, Emily, Ian, and Leah; niece, Susan Cirocco and her family of Mission Hills.
