DONALD A. GROVE, 92, Lenexa, KS passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. before the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Volunteer Services, 9100 W. 74th Street, Shawnee Mission, KS 66204.
Don served during WWII as Corporal with the 420th Army Air Force Base Unit.
He worked for the United States Postal Service as a Postal Clerk.
He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Overland Park, KS; and was a long-time volunteer for Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife Wanda of 66 years; his daughter, Sandra Connole and her husband Dennis of Chula Vista, CA; two grandchildren, Kylee Fong and her husband Darren, China; and Ryan Connole of Portland, OR.
