Donald L. Heckert, age 85, of Overland Park, KS passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2009 surrounded by his loving family, into God’s loving care. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas with a visitation from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the service. A committal service will be held immediately after the funeral service at the same location. There will be a reception following the committal service at the chapel. Donald is survived by his wife of 55 years, Wilma Heckert; daughter / son –in-law, Terri & Jeffrey Shaw; and a grandson Michael Brogdon all of Kansas City.
