Donna Grannan

Donna Grannan was born December 15th, 1928 in Hastings, Nebraska. After graduating from Holstein High School in Holstein, Nebraska, she attend the Omaha Institute of Radio and Electronics. She worked in communications for Trans World Airlines (TWA). In April of 1948, she married the love of her life, Bernard Patrick Grannan. After having 2 children, she worked as church secretary at Bethany Lutheran Church in Overland Park, Kansas. After moving to Emporia Kansas, she worked as an executive secretary in the admissions office of the Emporia State teachers college. Donna enjoyed singing with the church choirs and caring for her many beloved animals. Most of all, she cherished her husband, children and grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert E. Filzien, Sr., mother, Agnus L. Felzien, brother Gilbert Filzien, Jr., infant children, Linda Donnell (1949), baby boy and Denise Michelle (1954); husband, Bernard Patrick Grannan., mother in law Margaret (MoMo) Grannan. She was also preceded in death by brother and sister in laws; Bede and Gerri Grannan, Margaret and Bernie Ruckh, Lester Shaw and beloved nieces and nephews; Maureen, Patrick, David (Lucky), Nici and Marcia. Survivors include, son, Dennis Grannan (Jim) of St David, Arizona, daughter Robin Hursh (Norman) of Lenexa, Kansas, granddaughter Christi Hursh, grandson Brandon Hursh (Amanda), and sister Cheryl Shaw. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family of Westchester Village of Lenexa Kansas.
