Donna Jean "Pat" Brahl, 96, a wonderful lady, left us on Thursday, April 24, 2014.
Donna was born in Waubun, Minnesota, daughter of Beth and Herman Patnode (the popular town barber). She graduated from Hamlin University and worked for many years as a Clinical Assistant at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Donna was married to the late Maurice H. Brahl. The couple raised their family in Prairie Village and Lenexa, Kansas.
She is survived by her three sons, Gary (Carolyn), of Dallas, Texas, Doug (Diann), of Overland Park, Kansas, and Tom (Jeanette), of Albuquerque, New Mexico; seven grandchildren; seven great grandsons; and the first great granddaughter scheduled to arrive in late May.
Donna lived life to the fullest. She loved dogs, music, her family and friends. She baked some legendary cookies, cooked a mean spaghetti dinner, and made all those around her happier and better people for knowing her.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, KS.
