Donna L. O'Malley, 87, of Lawrence, KS, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Pioneer Ridge Nursing Home.
She was born on September 28, 1926 to Dorothy (Delfs) and Donald Baker in Clay Center, KS. After finishing high school she moved to Portland, OR. While in Portland, Donna worked as a civilian for the United States Army during WWII, where she met her future husband Byron J. "Mike" O'Malley. They were married February 2, 1946 in Clay Center. During their marriage of 46 years, they moved several times and enjoyed their retirement in Ormond Beach, FL and Welches, OR.
Donna worked various positions as an executive secretary and later as a real estate agent, but she most enjoyed being a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family

She survived by her two daughters, Terry (John) Bourcet, Henderson, NV; Carol O'Malley, Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Barbara Baker, Lawrence, KS; grandchildren, Melodie Blakesley, Ottawa, KS; Andrea (Chad) Hull, Ottawa, KS; Tommy Guilmette, Atlanta, GA; Cindy (John) Dwyer, Jacksonville, FL; nine great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Joan Miller, Nampa, ID; and one aunt, Florence Baker, Clay Center, KS.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mike O'Malley, her parents, and one sister, Marjory O'Cain.
Service will be at 1 PM on Monday, December 16, 2013 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons – Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210. Burial will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
