Sunday, March 16, 2014, one of the sweetest, funniest, most outspoken ladies left her family and went to heaven. Mom, Mother-in-law, grannie and great grandma Dorothy Dollarhide is now celebrating finally being reunited with her beloved husband, John Dollarhide. She graced our lives, she made us laugh, she made us think, she challenged us in conversations about politics, religion, life, and helped us grow, think and love. She was giving and loving and ornery. This amazing woman learned to fly, studied Spanish, played classical violin and guitar, taught herself to program and did crosswords every day. She loved to laugh and be with her family. In her final months nothing made her happier than seeing her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We love you Dorothy Dollarhide. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John Dollarhide and son-in-law Don Gray. Survivors include son John and wife Sue Dollarhide, daughter Laura Gray, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private memorial service was held Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Memorial contributions can be made to Community Linc, 4012 Troost, Kansas City, MO 64110.
