Dorothy "Dot" Gnaegy

Dorothy Jane "Dot" Gnaegy, 87, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014, at KC Hospice House.
Dot was born April 23, 1925, in St Louis, MO, to Benjamin and Vesta Gnaegy. She was a graduate of Lindenwood College in St Louis, MO. Upon graduation, she took a job with AT&T Telecommunications Division in Kansas City, MO. She was a great supporter of the Greater KC Humane Society and always surrounded herself with many pets over the years. As an avid knitter, Dot shared her creations with many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Phillip Gnaegy.
Dot is survived by her brother, Robert (Sally) Gnaegy, of Fairway, KS and her life-long friend, Carolyn D. Hammond, of Overland Park, KS.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014, at DW Newcomer's Sons – Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS. An inurnment will follow at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens – Indoor Garden of Memories.
